Dished caps, also known as torispherical caps, feature a curved profile that distributes internal pressure more evenly than flat caps. They are used in pressure vessels, storage tanks, and medium-pressure piping systems. The dished profile provides structural strength while being more economical than semi-ellipsoidal designs.
